Remove EXIF from Images
Photos can contain hidden metadata such as camera model, capture time, editing software, and sometimes location. Re-exporting through the browser creates a new image that usually removes this embedded data.
What EXIF can include
- Camera or phone model.
- Date and time the photo was captured.
- Lens and exposure information.
- GPS location when location tagging was enabled.
Why local removal matters
Some online tools remove metadata after upload, but the original file has already reached a remote server. Local browser processing avoids that step and keeps the source image on your device.
Limitations
This tool is designed for common JPG, PNG, and WebP workflows. If you have strict legal or forensic requirements, verify the exported file with a dedicated metadata inspection tool before publishing.
